Hi, I'm Lucy

I teach piano to all ages at all levels from beginner to advanced. My teaching style is classically based as I find it creates a solid foundation for understanding piano theory, building finger coordination, and reading piano music fluently. However, I love all music and am happy to teach any songs my students would like to learn in addition to their regular lesson material. 

I teach voice lessons to all ages at all levels from beginner to advanced. I incorporate some piano basics during voice lessons to help convey pitch, rhythm, and music theory. I strongly encourage students to pick songs they are interested in learning to sing in addition to their regular lesson material that we will be working out of together. This will help personalize the experience and spark inspiration!

I have had the opportunity to perform for a wide variety of events - from weddings, funerals and graduation ceremonies, to church services, private dinner parties and open mic nights, and even a specialty event at the Iowa state capitol!
