I teach one 30-minute or 1 hour lesson per week from my home studio, depending on which lesson plan you choose. I recommend 30-minute lessons for beginner students, and 1 hour lessons for intermediate and advanced students.
The first voice lesson is usually one hour. This gives me the opportunity to gather an understanding of the student's current music knowledge and get a feel for their learning style as well as the type of songs they are interested in singing and some of their musical goals they would like to accomplish. Please take this into consideration when scheduling your first lesson.
Books
Books
We will work out of a set of primer level piano books in addition to any other material the student is wanting to learn. Payment for these books is included in the one time registration fee. I will provide the first set of books at the first lesson. Students will take these books home to practice on their own and bring them to each voice lesson. The first set of books will last for six months to one year, depending on how consistent we are with lessons and how quickly the student grasps the concepts and builds coordination.

Weekly 30 minute lessons - $165.00/month
Weekly 1 hour lessons - $330.00/month
Payment for the entire month is due in full on the first of each month.
New students are required to pay a one time nonrefundable $40.00 registration fee at the time of enrollment to cover the cost of administrative tasks.
All students are required to set up autopay through PayPal via their student portal.

Piano Key Concepts offers a single one hour long complimentary "no strings attached" trial lesson. This provides us with the opportunity to get to meet each other in a relaxed/no pressure environment where I can get a feel for your current musical knowledge and learning style. Afterwards, if you feel comfortable enrolling in piano, voice, or hybrid lessons, you can move forward with the enrollment process confidently.
Cancelation Policy
Consistency is key when learning music. I strongly suggest scheduling voice lessons for a date and time the student is able to commit to each week. However, if a lesson must be canceled, a 24-hour notice is required.
Exception: If a student wakes up on the day of their lesson feeling ill, a 24-hour notice is not required, however, the student must notify me by phone or text to let me know they will not be attending.
Teacher withholds the right to send students home to rest if students are demonstrating symptoms of illness at the time of their lesson.
Please note, no refunds will be issued for cancelations.
Referral Program
If a current Piano Key Concepts student has referred you to my studio, please provide me with their name at the time of sign up to receive $25.00 off your first month's total. The student who referred you will also receive $25.00 off their total due for the following month.
Late Fee Policy
Payment for music lessons is due in full no later than the first day of each month. Piano Key Concepts offers a three day grace period. If payment is not made in full by the third day of the month, a $25.00 late fee will be added to the amount due.
Termination Policy
If a student wishes to discontinue piano lessons, an emailed notice must be submitted no later than the 15th of the month prior to avoid being charged an additional months' tuition fee. Please email your cancelation notice to lucy@pianokeyconcepts.com. - Please note, this policy has no exceptions and no refunds will be issued at any time.
